Irvin Kershner, director of Empire Strikes Back, passes away at 87

Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite movie of all time. I wasn’t born when it came out 30 years ago in 1980, but it still amazes me every time I watch it. So it pained me this morning to find out that the man responsible for the one of the greatest sequels of all time had passed away. A respected member of the Star Wars family has become one with The Force.
